First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding hyperbaric oxygen therapy (breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber) to a standard hip surgery can better reduce pain in people with early-stage avascular necrosis (bone death) of the hip. About 400 adults will be enrolled. The goal is to improve pain and daily function without needing a hip replacement.
