Teach-Back hygiene lessons cut UTI symptoms in pregnant women
NCT ID NCT06428305
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tested whether teaching pregnant women with urinary tract infections (UTIs) about hygiene using the 'teach-back' method (where they explain what they learned) improves their hygiene behaviors and symptoms. 36 pregnant women with UTIs took part; half received the special hygiene training and half did not. The results showed that the teach-back method helped women adopt better genital hygiene habits, which may reduce infection symptoms and improve overall health.
