Summary
This long-term study follows 250 young people with sickle cell anemia to understand how the medication hydroxyurea affects their growth, puberty, and ability to have children. Researchers will track participants over time, comparing those who take hydroxyurea to those who don't, to learn about pregnancy outcomes and fertility. The goal is to gather important safety information about this commonly used treatment.
