NCT ID NCT07489625
First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This early-stage study tests whether adding electroacupuncture and ear acupoint pressing to a standard painkiller (hydromorphone) can better relieve severe cancer pain that doesn't respond to usual treatments. About 30 adults with refractory cancer pain will receive the combination for two weeks. The goal is to see if pain scores drop by at least 30% to 50% and if side effects are manageable.
