New gel could shield cancer patients from painful radiation burns
NCT ID NCT05079763
Summary
This study is testing whether a new hydrogel can prevent severe skin burns in Filipino breast cancer patients undergoing radiation therapy. Researchers will compare the gel against a standard moisturizing cream to see which better protects the skin. The goal is to find a way to reduce this common and painful side effect, helping patients complete their treatment and improve their quality of life.
