First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looks at how being well-hydrated or dehydrated changes the way your body uses fat and carbohydrates for energy, both when resting and during light to moderate exercise. Researchers will measure these effects in 74 healthy men and women, also considering how menstrual cycles may play a role. The goal is to better understand links between low fluid intake and metabolic diseases like type 2 diabetes.
