First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested two gels—Hybenix and Chlosite—for treating peri-implantitis, an infection around dental implants. Forty adults with the condition received professional cleaning and then one of the gels applied to the infected gum pocket. Over 9 months, researchers checked bleeding, swelling, and bone loss to see which gel worked better.
