First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tested two gels—Hybenix and Chlosite—for treating peri-implantitis, an infection around dental implants. Forty adults with at least one infected implant received professional cleaning followed by one of the gels. Over 9 months, researchers measured gum bleeding, swelling, and bone loss to see which gel worked better.
