New gel may beat standard drug in tear duct surgery

Summary

This study tests if using hyaluronic acid (a natural gel) during surgery for blocked tear ducts works better than the standard drug mitomycin-C. About 36 adults with chronic tear duct blockage will take part. The goal is to see which treatment leads to better surgical success, fewer complications, and more patient comfort.
