Gum disease breakthrough? new mouthwash combo tested
NCT ID NCT07366398
Summary
This study tested whether adding hyaluronic acid to a standard chlorhexidine mouthwash works better than the standard mouthwash alone for controlling gum inflammation (gingivitis). Sixteen patients with gingivitis were randomly assigned to use one of the two mouthwash combinations for one week after a professional cleaning. Researchers measured gum bleeding and plaque, and asked patients about their satisfaction.
