New device could replace Cow's milk fortifiers for preemies
NCT ID NCT07576972
First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026
Summary
This study tests a device that concentrates a mother's own milk to make it more nutritious for premature babies. About 310 preterm infants will either get concentrated milk or standard milk with added cow's milk fortifiers. The goal is to see if the concentrated milk helps babies grow just as well and is safe, while possibly being cheaper and easier to use in the hospital.
