Summary
This study explored whether a traditional Chinese medicine called Huaier Granule could reduce kidney damage, specifically high protein levels in urine (proteinuria), caused by targeted cancer drugs. It involved 76 adults with advanced liver or bile duct cancer who were experiencing this side effect from their treatment. All participants took the Huaier Granule for 8 weeks while researchers measured changes in their urine protein levels to see if the supplement helped.
