Herbal remedy trial aims to ease cancer Treatment's kidney toll

NCT ID NCT07355361

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a traditional Chinese herbal medicine called Huaier Granule to standard medical care can better treat protein in the urine (proteinuria) in breast cancer patients. This condition is a side effect some patients experience from their immunotherapy or anti-angiogenic cancer drugs. Researchers will compare two groups of about 120 adult female patients to see if the group receiving the herbal add-on shows more improvement after 8 weeks.
