New pill aims to tame dangerous lupus kidney damage

NCT ID NCT07363460

Summary

This study is testing whether a new daily pill called HSK39297 can help control lupus nephritis, a serious kidney disease caused by lupus. About 105 adults with active kidney inflammation will take either the real pill or a placebo, along with standard care, to see if it reduces kidney damage and protein in the urine. The main goal is to see if the treatment is safe and more effective than a placebo at improving kidney health.
