First seen Dec 29, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at whether people with hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), a long-term inflammatory skin disease, are more likely to have gum disease. Researchers compared 226 adults with HS to healthy controls by measuring gum health and HS severity. The goal was to see if the two conditions share common inflammatory pathways, which could help guide future care.
