Could a skin condition be linked to gum disease?
NCT ID NCT07294456
Summary
This study looked at whether people with the chronic skin condition hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) have worse gum health than people without it. Researchers compared 226 adults with HS to healthy volunteers, checking their gums and skin. The goal was to see if the two conditions are connected through shared inflammation in the body.
