First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study looks at how well hormone replacement therapy (HRT) works for female adolescents aged 11 to 19 with premature ovarian insufficiency (POI), a condition where ovaries stop working before age 40. Participants will receive estrogen patches and progesterone pills, and have regular check-ups over 2 years to monitor bone health, heart function, and other effects. Healthy volunteers are also included for comparison.
