New drug shows promise in protecting kidneys from diabetes damage
NCT ID NCT06415214
Summary
This study tested whether the investigational drug HRS-7535 can help protect the kidneys in adults with type 2 diabetes who have early to moderate diabetic kidney disease. For 16 weeks, 281 participants received either HRS-7535 or a placebo (inactive pill) to see if the drug safely reduces protein in the urine, a key sign of kidney damage. The main goal was to see if HRS-7535 could slow the progression of kidney disease compared to standard care alone.
