Genetic test may predict best chemo for aggressive breast cancer
NCT ID NCT01982448
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looked at 147 people with triple negative breast cancer to see if a genetic test called HRD could predict which chemotherapy—cisplatin or paclitaxel—works better before surgery. Participants received one of the two drugs, and researchers measured tumor response. The goal was to learn if the HRD test can help personalize treatment, not to cure the disease directly.
