New HPV vaccine trial tests fewer shots for teens

NCT ID NCT06632912

Summary

This study is testing a new HPV vaccine to see if a simpler 2-dose schedule for younger girls (9-14 years) works as well as the standard 3-dose schedule for older teens and young women (9-35 years). It will enroll 1,800 female participants to compare the strength and durability of the immune response produced by the different schedules. The main goal is to ensure the vaccine effectively protects against the HPV virus strains that can cause cervical cancer and other diseases.
