Scientists test if vaccine can disarm active HPV virus
NCT ID NCT07407569
Summary
This study is exploring whether giving the Gardasil-9 vaccine to women who already have an HPV16 infection can reduce the virus's ability to spread. About 50 women with HPV16 but no visible symptoms will receive two vaccine doses. Researchers will track changes in the virus and the women's immune responses using urine and blood samples over two years to learn more about how the vaccine works in this situation.
