Blood test could revolutionize Follow-Up for HPV throat cancer patients

Summary
This study looks at whether measuring HPV DNA in the blood can help find throat cancer recurrence earlier in patients with HPV-related oropharyngeal cancer. About 420 participants will be followed after treatment to see if those with undetectable HPV DNA can safely have fewer check-ups, while those with detectable DNA get closer monitoring. The goal is to improve quality of life and catch any return of cancer sooner.
