NCT ID NCT04583670

First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looked at how family doctors in France use a small ultrasound device (point-of-care ultrasound) during routine visits. Over 600 patients were included, and doctors recorded their diagnosis and treatment plan before and after using the ultrasound. The goal was to see if the ultrasound changed what the doctor thought was wrong or how they planned to treat the patient. This was an observational study, meaning no new treatments were tested.
