Mind over motion: can just thinking about pain alter your gait?
NCT ID NCT06929559
Summary
This study aims to understand if simply expecting pain can change how healthy people walk. Researchers will apply a harmless cream to participants' knees, telling one group it might cause pain while telling another group it's inert. They will then measure walking patterns, muscle activity, and heart rate to see how anticipation affects movement.
