Scientists trace invisible plastic through human volunteers

NCT ID NCT07075991

Summary

This study aimed to understand what happens to tiny plastic particles after we swallow them. Six healthy volunteers swallowed a single, very small dose of specially labeled plastic particles. Researchers then carefully measured how much plastic entered their bloodstream and how their bodies eliminated it through urine and feces over five days.
