Clock-Watching in the ER: where do Doctors' minutes really go?

NCT ID NCT01722721

Summary

This study aimed to understand how emergency department doctors in Denmark divide their time. Researchers observed 9 ER physicians to measure exactly how many minutes they spent directly with patients versus on tasks like computer documentation and talking with colleagues. The goal was to see if working in different areas of the ER changed how their time was distributed.
