Can a support program for stressed moms protect the placenta?
NCT ID NCT04993742
Summary
This study aims to understand how a mother's anxiety during pregnancy affects the placenta and her baby's health. It tests whether a 10-session peer support program for moms can reduce stress and improve biological markers in the blood and placenta. Researchers will follow 150 pregnant women receiving care at a military medical center to see if the support program leads to healthier pregnancies and birth outcomes.
