Could a simple warm wrap speed up surgery recovery?

NCT ID NCT06888154

Summary

This study is testing if applying a warm, sterile compress to the intestines during abdominal surgery helps patients feel better afterward. Researchers want to see if it reduces common problems like nausea and vomiting and helps the bowels start working normally again more quickly. About 80 patients having planned abdominal surgery will be randomly assigned to receive either the warm compress or the standard care during their operation to compare the results.
