Hospitals test different approaches to keep opioid patients in treatment after discharge

NCT ID NCT04921787

Summary

This study tests two different support strategies to help community hospitals start medication treatment programs for patients with opioid addiction. Researchers will compare a low-intensity approach with a high-intensity approach across 24 hospitals to see which better helps patients continue treatment after leaving the hospital. The goal is to find the most effective way to help hospitals implement addiction treatment programs that keep patients engaged in care.
