Study questions common hospital practice for high blood pressure

NCT ID NCT07208669

Summary

This pilot study is gathering information to design a larger future trial. It tests a hospital-unit program (ACT-BP) that aims to reduce how often doctors increase blood pressure medication for patients with high readings but no symptoms. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and feasible before launching a major study to determine the best way to manage high blood pressure in the hospital.
