Can your home be your hospital? new study tests cost and safety

NCT ID NCT07274072

Summary

This study is comparing two ways of providing hospital-level care: sending medical teams to treat patients in their own homes versus admitting them to a traditional hospital ward. Researchers will enroll 200 adults with acute illnesses like infections or heart failure to see if home-based care is as safe, costs less, and makes patients happier. The main goal is to measure and compare the total costs and patient outcomes between the two care settings.
