Hormone levels may predict sedation needs in fertility procedure

NCT ID NCT07378241

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether a woman's hormone levels affect how much anesthesia she needs during egg retrieval for IVF. Researchers will measure progesterone and estrogen levels before the procedure and track the amount of propofol used. The goal is to see if higher progesterone means less anesthesia is needed, while higher estrogen means more. This is an observational study with 100 participants and does not test any new drug or treatment.
