Summary

This first-in-human study tested the safety of a new oral drug called HOPO 14-1 in 42 healthy volunteers. The drug is being developed to help remove radioactive materials from the body after accidental contamination. Researchers gave participants single doses of the capsules to check for side effects and see how the body processes the medication.
