Summary
This study tested whether a special counseling program could improve mental health and feelings of hope in first-time mothers who had experienced an abortion. Eight participants received six counseling sessions, some in-person and some by phone, focused on building hope. Researchers measured their psychological well-being and hope levels before, during, and after the program to see if it helped.
