Could honey speed up recovery after cyst surgery?
NCT ID NCT02485860
Summary
This study tested whether using dressings containing honey helps wounds heal faster after surgery to remove a pilonidal cyst. It involved 890 adults who had the surgery and had a clean, non-bleeding wound. Researchers compared the healing time for wounds treated with honey dressings against standard care to see if honey's natural properties could reduce recovery time.
