Home vs. hospital: major trial tests safer, more comfortable care for cancer patients
NCT ID NCT07315347
Summary
This study aims to find out if cancer patients who develop a blood clot in the lung (pulmonary embolism) can be safely treated at home instead of being admitted to the hospital. It will compare the safety and quality of life for over 800 patients randomly assigned to receive care at home or in the hospital. The goal is to give patients more autonomy and comfort while managing their condition just as effectively.
