Could a home sleep test replace the hospital visit for kids?
NCT ID NCT05516524
Summary
This study tested whether a home sleep test is as good as the standard hospital sleep study for checking on children after they've had surgery for sleep apnea. Researchers enrolled 62 children, ages 5-12, who had their tonsils and adenoids removed. They compared the results and family preferences of the home test versus the overnight hospital test.
