Headband at home could replace sleep lab for narcolepsy diagnosis

NCT ID NCT06531876

Summary

This study tested whether a comfortable headband worn at home can accurately track sleep and wake patterns to help diagnose narcolepsy type 1 and other sleep disorders. Researchers compared the headband's readings against traditional overnight sleep lab tests in 78 adults being evaluated for excessive daytime sleepiness. The goal was to see if home monitoring could make diagnosis easier and more natural than current limited lab visits.
