Shining a light on gum disease at home
NCT ID NCT05698823
Summary
This study tested a home-use light device called Lumoral for people with moderate to severe chronic gum disease. Participants used a special mouth rinse that sticks to plaque, then activated it with a light applicator. The goal was to see if this regular home treatment could reduce gum bleeding, plaque, and inflammation to help control the disease long-term.
