Can home blood pressure monitors tame uncontrolled hypertension?
NCT ID NCT07273578
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tested whether having people with uncontrolled high blood pressure check their own readings at home could help lower their numbers. 70 adults with hypertension were split into two groups: one group used a home monitor for 5 days each month, while the other group received standard clinic check-ups. Researchers found that home monitoring helped reduce blood pressure more than clinic visits alone.
