New app helps heart patients recover at home after valve surgery

NCT ID NCT06077201

First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests a home-based exercise program delivered through a mobile app for people who had heart valve procedures. Many patients don't attend traditional center-based rehab, so this offers a convenient alternative. About 240 participants will be randomly assigned to usual care, a hands-off app program, or an interactive app program for 12 or 24 weeks. The goal is to see if the app improves physical activity, quality of life, and reduces hospital visits.
