Baby formula with breast milk sugars: a gut health boost?

NCT ID NCT06361719

First seen Jan 02, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a ready-to-feed baby formula with two special sugars (2'FL and LNnT) can help healthy Chinese babies develop good gut bacteria and a strong immune system. About 262 infants will be split into groups: some get the special formula, some get regular formula, and a third group is breastfed for comparison. The goal is to see if these sugars make the formula more like breast milk in supporting health.
