NCT ID NCT07487519

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This Phase 2 trial tests a new drug called HLX43, which is designed to seek out and destroy cancer cells in people with advanced triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). The study will test HLX43 alone or combined with other immune-boosting drugs. About 180 adults with TNBC that has spread or come back will take part. The goal is to see if the drug shrinks tumors and how safe it is.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

HLX43 (an antibody-drug conjugate that targets PD-L1 and delivers a chemotherapy-like toxin to cancer cells)

What this could lead to

If successful, this could provide a new treatment option for people with advanced triple-negative breast cancer, potentially shrinking tumors or slowing disease progression.

What could go wrong

This is an early Phase 2 study with a small number of participants. The drug may not work as hoped, and side effects could include immune-related reactions or toxicity from the chemotherapy component.
