New Two-in-One cancer drug enters human testing
NCT ID NCT07274813
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This early-phase study tests HLX37, a new drug that targets two cancer growth pathways (PD-L1 and VEGF) at once, in people with advanced solid tumors that have spread. The main goals are to check safety, find the right dose, and see how the drug behaves in the body. Up to 254 participants will be enrolled.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
HLX37 (a bispecific antibody that targets PD-L1 and VEGF)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could lead to a new treatment option for advanced solid tumors by blocking two cancer pathways at once.
What could go wrong
This is a very early (Phase 1) trial focused on safety and dosing, so it's too soon to know if HLX37 will be effective. Side effects from targeting both PD-L1 and VEGF could be significant.
