New pain pill tested for surgery recovery

Summary
This study is testing an experimental tablet called HL-1186 to see if it safely reduces moderate to severe pain after surgery. It will involve 72 adults who have just had orthopedic, abdominal, or chest surgery. Researchers will compare the new pill to a placebo (a dummy pill) to measure how well it controls pain over the first 48 hours.
