New pain pill could ease suffering after surgery

Summary

This study tests a new tablet called HL-1186 for moderate to severe pain after surgery. About 72 adults having orthopedic, abdominal, or chest surgery will receive either the drug or a placebo. The goal is to see if the drug reduces pain over 48 hours and to check for side effects.
