Scientists test new shot aiming to boost HIV defenses

NCT ID NCT04985760

Summary

This study tested a new experimental HIV vaccine called Trimer 4571 in people already living with HIV who were on stable, effective medication. The main goals were to check if the vaccine was safe and to see if it could help the body's immune system produce powerful antibodies against the virus. The study involved 32 participants who received either the real vaccine or a placebo over several months.
