Summary

This study tested the safety and immune response of an experimental HIV vaccine in healthy infants born to mothers with HIV. The trial enrolled 38 mother-infant pairs, with infants receiving up to five vaccine doses starting in their first week of life. The main goals were to check for side effects and see if the vaccine could trigger an immune response against HIV.
