Scientists test 3-Pronged attack to cure HIV

NCT ID NCT03619278

Summary

This early-stage study aimed to see if a three-part combination treatment could help people with HIV achieve remission, meaning they could stop their daily antiviral medications and keep the virus under control. The treatment combined a therapeutic vaccine, a lab-made antibody, and a drug meant to 'wake up' hidden virus. The study was designed for adults with well-controlled HIV on stable medication, but it was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
