First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 36 times
Summary
This study looks at a new HIV prevention option for cisgender women in the US: a shot given under the skin every 6 months, called lenacapavir. Researchers want to see how the drug behaves in the body, how safe it is, and if women find it acceptable compared to taking a daily pill. About 253 women who have had condomless sex with a man in the past year are taking part.
