First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looked at two different strategies for giving cabotegravir, a long-acting HIV prevention shot, to HIV-negative men who have sex with men and transgender men in U.S. clinics. About 287 participants received the shot either after a month of pills or directly as injections. Researchers measured how easy it was for clinic staff to offer the shot in both low- and high-volume settings.
